If you’re like me, you’ve probably wondered what everyday people like me require for comfortable living. I consulted with myself about all the things from personal care, hobbies, and more!

When you suffer with chronic itchiness you try all the things until you find one that works consistently! Hydrocortisone cream comes in handy the most for bugs bite (every bug thinks I’m tasty) and hives (apparently my body hates me).

Who likes chapped lips? I don’t. Aquaphor has shown me its worth by moisturizing my lips the way I need it. It’s not sticky and doesn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth. What more can a girl want? Chapstick is also required when I have any medical procedure that puts me under. I remember having my first surgery when I was 18 years old and my friend had to go hunt down chapstick for me. Now whoever is with me is always prepared and has chapstick ready for when I need it.

Some may thinks that leggings are leggings. If someone tells you it doesn’t matter the type of leggings someone wears, they are WRONG. In 2016, Girlfriend Collective had a free leggings campaign where I ordered my first pair of compressive high rise leggings for free! I just had to cover shipping. No other leggings can compare. The price is not ideal but I still have that first pair so I can honestly say they hold their value, free or pricey! They are also made from recycled water bottles?! Who wouldn’t love that?

Socks matter. It has taken me years to find THE perfect socks. Wernies are where it’s at. With wernie’s you get quality and comfort. They also provide arch support and are non-slip meaning they won’t slip off of your feet. A major bonus for me as I can’t put back on socks that have either been taken off or fallen off. Weird, I know.

Stains, gross. You never know when you are going to get something on your clothes. Tide to go pens have been a life saver for me more than once. I have also been able to provide life saving measures to my co-workers whenever they get something on their clothes. Who doesn’t like being the hero?

Specifically, prescription glasses. Without glasses, I can’t see. Therefore, I can’t live without the assistance that glasses provide. I get all of my glasses from Zenni! Affordable, fast, and several options to choose from!

Mascara completes my look with or without other makeup. Mascara opens my eyes and makes me look a little more put together. Lash Essence has been affordable, never fails to look fabulous, and having it on auto ship makes it convenient. I never run out!

Piper, Mitch, and Cleo have provided endless amounts of comfort for me. Even being independent and autonomous they can reduce stress and relieve anxiety. Some research has even shown they can lower the risk of a heart attack and stroke! The benefits to owning cats is immeasurable. These cats aren’t for sale but you can find a cat (or other animal) that suits your needs through adoption! Cat lives matter!

Hormones suck. Dermaplaning helps with facial hair removal among several other benefits. Such as smoother skin, acne prevention, and even helps with minimizing acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I never leave home without one. You never know when unwanted hair decides it’s going to make its appearance.

I CRAVE orange juice when I am sick. OJ provides comfort. Requirements to my OJ: no pulp. That’s it. I do prefer tropicana when I am sick. Sunny D is also good but I tend to chug it with as smooth as it is. I have also found that Braum’s OJ is tasty. Important Side Note: It does not beat out Braum’s Cherry Limeade. Find Tropicana and Sunny D at your local Walmart (or other grocery store).

A new found love and hobby came when my mother passed away. I took home several of her house plants (my favorite being the split leaf). It has brought so much happiness seeing her plants continue to thrive even when I wasn’t thriving. Cooling blankets really work! I don’t like to be hot when I sleep. I also have to be covered to sleep. (A fan is also required for good sleep.) Having a cooling blanket allows me to stay cool and covered.

You know what they say—thick thighs save lives. But thin hair? Yeah… still
waiting for a slogan on that one. I’ve had both thick hair and now thinner
hair, and let me tell you: discovering John Frieda’s thickening shampoo was
a game changer. Once I started using it, I couldn’t go back. The moment I
try any other shampoo, I notice the difference immediately. That’s why I
don’t travel without it anymore.

This is one of those products that has multiple purposes for me. First, I love the smell and brings me back to my childhood when I was sick. Nostalgia in its finest. The second purpose is to help mask unpleasant smells. I work with a diverse population and using vaporizing rub helps me provide treatment without getting distracted and overwhelmed with the unpleasant smells. I cannot rave enough about an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. I have my boyfriend to thank for purchasing one years ago to help provide pain relief at work. I can’t use a standard keyboard for more than 30 minutes without my hand cramping and hurting. I can use the ergonomic keyboard and mouse all day with no problems.
